ROJOTANGO

Piazzolla´s pianist Pablo Ziegler composed the tango ROJOTANGO for Erwin Schrott after which the album and the program are named.

Erwin Schrott

With Rojotango Erwin Schrott makes his passionate tribute to the music of his native South America, music that accompanying him since his early childhood. The dark, velvety and sensuous timbre of his voice is destined to explore the passion, melancholy and power of tango.

"While losing non of its elegance and distinctiveness, it now also has the simplicity, the passion and the power to move that lie at the heart of this much-loved music."

-Mario Vargas Llosa
